Sometimes I wish there were cameras in yoga class. Like yesterday when I was thisclose to finally getting into the splits for the first time in 16 years, or a few minutes later in that same class when I did King Pigeon (pictured above) for the first time ever in my life.
It’s reaching goals like this that make me keep going back. Little victories.
The first time I ever did King Pigeon, I had this feeling of deep respect and awe and appreciation for my body. Like, forget its shape, its size, its flaws — look at what it can DO!
