Marcia is Amused.

Asian slaw. Half a head of Napa cabbage, shredded carrots, julienned red bell pepper and cucumber, diced red onion. To be mixed with Brianna’s Ginger Mandarin dressing about a half hour before dinner and served with more crunchy Chinese noodles than is healthy.

Last night I made this and served it with a hanger steak, tonight I’m making chicken with it. I had half a head of cabbage and carrots, onion, and cucumber left in my fridge and it was delicious, so round two. The marinade for the steak and the chicken is the same: soy, fish sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and sriracha.

For summer I love a big salad with quick cooking protein. It keeps my kitchen cool and makes me feel better about my constant gelato cravings.
