Come volunteer with me!
So, as many of you know, I volunteer with New York Cares. I really like the way the run their program, how easy it is to sign up for projects (even last minute!) and how they encourage volunteers to become leaders.
And so, I did become a leader. And I’m finally leading my first project! Playing math games with first graders on Tuesdays from 2:20-3:20 at a school in the East Village.
I don’t usually put this much specific information on tumblr about what I do, but I very much want this project to get fully staffed. Learning math at a young age helps these kids immeasurably in their future.
PLEASE COME VOLUNTEER WITH ME!
All you have to do is: become an NYCares volunteer if you’re not already (which requires 1 half hour info session that they hold almost daily in all boroughs), and then sign up for my Math Games project at PS64.
