Marcia is Amused.

Matt and I went to the Hot Sauce Expo in Williamsburg today. It was really fun.

The first sauce we tried was this Zombie Apocalypse sauce, and it was blisteringly hot. Rumors are that the Rapture, next to it, is hotter but I didn’t brave that one. Matt did. And he and his friends will devour these two.

The three on the left are all award winning and had not just heat but really good flavor.

The one on the left is made in NYC by a guy who grows his own peppers in one of those rooftop farms in Long Island City. It was one of this last ones we tried and by that point our taste buds were pretty fried but I loved the chef and the story and he had pretzels with which to try the hot sauce so boom. Purchased.

We probably tried twenty hot sauces (with breaks in the beer tent) and that was probably a quarter of what we could have tried. I don’t know how anyone could try them all and still have taste buds.
